It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 meeting of the International Federation of Placenta Associations (IFPA) which, due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions, will be virtual this year! The Local Organizing Committee, the Scientific Program Committee and the European Placenta Group welcome you to attend the IFPA 2021 meeting which will take place from Monday August 30th up to and including Thursday 2nd 2021.
All sessions of the virtual meeting will be recorded to accommodate participants from different time zones. E-posters will be available for viewing two weeks in advance and presenters will also have the opportunity to present their poster by uploading a poster pitch.
Because the IFPA 2020 meeting had to be postponed, apart from submitted abstracts, the program will remain similar to IFPA 2020. This includes plenary presentations, awards, symposia and workshops. All New Investigators who submitted a NI form for 2020 together with their submitted abstract will still be eligible to submit an abstract and register as a New Investigator for the 2021 meeting. Information on the Rotorua meeting originally planned for 2021 can now be found at www.ifpa2022.org.
Aim of the meeting
The theme of the meeting will be “Next Generation of Placental Research”. This theme has a twofold aim; firstly, it is chosen to emphasize the research performed by young investigators and give them a large platform to present their work. Secondly, the theme is to highlight all aspects of the large variety of next generation techniques present today or in the near future.
